Desk Top Screens

As the originators of and Design Award Winners for Desk Top screens, ECO have over the last sixteen years constantly reinvested in extensive research and tooling, to build up a library of off-the-shelf fixings that enable almost any desk ever made to be retro-fitted with screens.

It is a matter of company policy that should standard fixings not be suitable for a particular customer, that whenever possible the company will resolve the problems by manufacturing individual bespoke fixings at a moderate extra cost. Alongside the choice of fixings, the screen itself has been developed to offer vision panels, off-desk storage and a choice of shapes.

The range allows you to change height on a row of screens, either with an angle or a sculptured curve and if you require certain staff to see beyond the screen, it can be done with a 'Through Vision' screen. All this comes with a full 3 year guarantee at a cost considerably less than you might think.

  • Two mounting methods, desk top mount or side mount
  • Available as flat rectangular, curved or vision screens
  • Conforms to BS476, Part 7, Class 1 safety standard
Desk Top mounted screens
Made in one standard thickness of 38 mm, the desk top mounted screens and clamps are designed so that the screen sits on top of the desk surface with an 8 mm gap at the base for cable feeds. Primarily intended for screening the back of individual straight rows of desking, it must be borne in mind when fitting side screens, that the back screen will already occupy 38 mm of the desk width.
Side mounted around the desk
The side mounted screen range fits around the desk edges, allowing all three sides to be screened with the minimal loss of desk work surface and desks clustered into whatever arrangement is required. The screens incorporate a 5 mm gap at the base for cable feed and so that a visible uniform height can be maintained on mixed screen installations, the 100 mm of height that projects below the desktop to accommodate the clamping system, is ignored on our listing of available sizes.
Curved Screens
A curved screen is available in a number of different heights for 800 mm corner units. The radius of 800 mm matches this corner unit width andallows for a complete 90 degree angle change.
Vision Screens
Vision screens are designed to allow a measure of privacy, but also give an overview of other staff or public access areas. The shatter-proof acrylic vision panels are set into these screens and may be Clear, Grey or Bronze, with bronze fitted as standard.

Top Options
There are two top trims from which to choose, Plastic or Fabric (fitted as standard).

Except where one end of the screen is reduced to zero, standard production sculpturing will reduce the height of the screen at it's lowest point, down to the next lowest height available in the range. However any standard height screen can be ordered, e.g. A Shaped Top option on an 1800 mm wide by 550 mm high flat screen will reduce the height at the lower end to 450 mm (this is the next size down in the range).

Trim Edging and Capping
In addition to the standard edge trim colours of light grey, dark grey, brown and black, an option for Light Oak or Silver uPVA edge trims is available. Hot rolled foil is hard wearing and very realistic in appearance. The foil design has been chosen to blend in with most office furniture, the wood grain has been especially chosen to have a tight grain appearance. An additional option of having edging on 3 three sides exists in this range. Select the heavy duty top capping option as this is ideal for those areas where there is heavy traffic. Standard colours: Light Oak and Silver for the heavy duty capping option.

Pin Board Treatment
The internal board is made from the same material as EAD pin boards which has self healing properties to help combat board fatigue.

Freespace System Rails
The EFS and ELK Flat Screen ranges can be fitted as an optional extra with a Freespace Double Sided Single System Rail. A full range of accessories are available to fully utilise this essential option.
